Bottle and combination feeding

Support for bottle feeding and combining feeds.

When your baby won't take a bottle, it can feel really stressful, especially if you're heading back to work, need time away or simply need a break. I have lots of experience helping families work through bottle struggles, as well as finding a comfortable mix of breastfeeding, pumping and bottle feeding.

Work through bottle feeds together

We'll take time to understand what's been happening and watch how your baby feeds. We can explore different bottles, nipple flows, positions and feeding setups, following your baby's cues rather than pushing them to take more. The goal is to understand what's getting in the way and leave you with practical next steps, rather than another list of bottles to buy.

If your baby needs further evaluation or support, I can help you connect with trusted feeding specialists and other clinicians. We can keep working together as the plan develops.

Find a combination that fits your goals

Breastfeeding doesn't have to be all or nothing. Pumping and bottles can be helpful, and sometimes necessary, whether you're using expressed milk, formula or both. You don't need to justify wanting more flexibility or a routine that gives you some breathing room.

We'll talk through your goals, your baby's milk intake, your supply and what feels sustainable for you. If you want to keep breastfeeding, we can plan how to support that alongside bottles. Questions about when to introduce bottles, milk flow or how pumping fits in are welcome. We'll work through your own situation, rather than give you a rule that doesn't fit your family.

Choose your visit

Before your baby arrives, choose a prenatal consultation for preparation, questions and planning. After birth, book an initial postpartum consultation for our first visit together, or a follow-up if we’ve already met since your baby was born.

In-home visits are available in Seattle and nearby areas, with virtual visits available too. Text support is included after your visit. If you're not sure which appointment to choose, you're welcome to text me.
